This 4"x6" frame contains a small sample of lawn clipping collected from the former apartment of serial killer Richard Chase, known as the "Vampire of Sacramento". These clippings were personally collected by Jonathan Doe from the Country Club Apartments located at 2928 Watt Ave, Sacramento, CA 95821 in 2025.
Richard Trenton Chase (May 23, 1950 – December 26, 1980) was an American serial killer, cannibal, and necrophile known as the Vampire of Sacramento, the Dracula Killer, and the Vampire Killer, who killed six people between December 1977 and January 1978 in Sacramento, California.
It was at this apartment Chase committed some of his most horrific crimes, including collecting pets from rehoming ads to kill and consume, eventually escalating to acts of murder, necrophilia, and cannibalism on human victims. These lawn clippings were collected from outside of his former unit #15.
